About Conscious connections counseling LLC

Our Expertise

Conscious Connections Counseling was founded by Shawn Tabor, NCC, LPCMH — a licensed therapist, military veteran, and former firefighter with clinical experience at the Department of Veterans Affairs. With a background in high-stress environments, Shawn brings a real-world understanding of trauma resilience, as well as insights into addressing mental health challenges through individual therapy and the importance of asking for help.

Our Services

We offer individual therapy for adults and teenagers facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, complex trauma, and phobias. Our sessions are available in-person throughout Delaware and via telehealth statewide, Monday through Thursday from 9am to 5pm. We accept Blue Cross Blue Shield, Optum, VA community care network, and Aetna, and also provide sliding scale options for those who qualify, helping to build trauma resilience.

Our Approach

Our approach to individual therapy is person-centered and humanistic — meaning that therapy is tailored to you, your goals, and your pace. Whether you're facing mental health challenges that require structured, goal-oriented work or simply need space to process your feelings, we adapt to what works best for you. Drawing from CBT, DBT, ACT, CPT, and Prolonged Exposure, as well as other modalities, we focus on building trauma resilience. Every session is collaborative, judgment-free, and concentrated on helping you move forward with clarity and a strong sense of self.
